Jason
Jason was a blue parakeet who had a mind of his own and thought he
was part of the family.
Andre
Andre (Mon Cher Andre Pierre Persson) was a pedigree French Poodle
who was charcol gray. Born March 24, 1967, died around
February of 1982.
Peter
Peter was a green parakeet who talked a lot.
Cheri
Cheri (Miss Cher BiCentennial) was a pedigree white toy
poodle. Born in 1976, died around 1988. She had
several problems - for one thing, her eyesight was already partly
gone when we received her around Christmas of 1982. We then
discovered she suffered from epilepsy. She was an amazing
dog in many ways. She was easy to get along with, obedient,
and very strange. I was the only person she really trusted
and played with. The other family members she never really
related to very well. When company stopped in to visit, she
would try to bite their ankles and then would run and hide behind
my legs.
Teri Tarantula
She was a female Mexican-Red-Leg tarantula who lived with us when
Cheri and Timothy were with us. When Timothy first joined
our family he was very curious about the tarantula and although
they say "curiosity killed the cat", this time it killed the
tarantula! If you are not freaked out by pictures of giant
spiders, you can see some pictures of her by clicking on her name
if it is hyperlinked.
Timothy (AKA
Mr
Big
Eyes, Cadillac Cat, Timofee, Timmy Tomcat)
Timothy was a wonderful, big tomcat with huge eyes and a beautiful
body full of pure love. He was born on May 31, 1982 and was
put to sleep on February 5, 1999. He entered my life in
January of 1984 and was with me for 15 years. It is his
death, believe it or not, which is prompting the creation of this
web site so I can get some pictures of him on the web to keep his
memory alive.
Misha (AKA The MOUTH, Trouble (as in "here comes..."), The Mish!, MisheeMoo, Mr. Bright Eyes, Baby Mishee) Misha is a cat who just thinks he is the world. The entire universe revolves around this one!
He has a mysterious past - some people who I knew found him "on death row" in a pound in Flint, Michigan. They took him home and had him for a while. When this couple had a baby, Misha turned into a little monster. They had to get rid of him, and were desperate to find a cat lover to take him in. I didn't want him and when he first came to live with me he wanted everything to be his way - as a matter of fact, when I would walk in the door at the end of day he expected me to feed him FIRST THING! If I would walk away from him, he would bite my ankle. After Misha and I got some house rules straightened out, our relationship improved. I think he was born in 1985 or 1986, and he came into my life in December of 1987. He was put to sleep on August 27, 2003.
Butterscotch (ButterFluffer,
ButterMuffin,
ButterBuddy)
He was born on 5-15-2000 and came to live with us on December 8,
2001. He is very affectionate, he follows
me all around the house and likes to talk all the time.
However, although he is adorably cute, he does not like to be
picked up. As a matter of fact, he hates it. I
always tell him that if a cat is so cute and makes so much
noise, he should expect people to pick him up and hug
him. However, he does not seem to agree with that point
of view. One of his favorite things to do seems to be
taking a nap on my lap when I am taking a nap. As I type
this he is nine years old but is basically just a big
kitten. He is always cheerful, always happy, and always
playing. He is a true joy to have around. He was
put to sleep on December 9, 2015.
Midnight
He was born on 9-15-2002 and came to live with us on February 2,
2003. He was just a little kitten!. This cat went with
my ex wife when we split up.
Jack
(Jack B. Nimble, Big Jack, Jumbo Jack)
He was born sometime in 1998? and came to live with us on
September 15, 2003. He was a homeless cat found wandering
the streets of the desert. He's quite affectionate and
LARGE. I like to hold him in my arms, call him Jumbo Jack as
he is looking up at me and purring, and then ask him why he is
named after a sandwich. Jack was put to sleep on March 26,
2014. He was my favorite of all the cats I have ever had and
he will be dearly missed!
Nero
He was born around April 5, 2007 and came to live with us on June
15, 2007. He was about 9 weeks old when he came into our
home. He's full of energy, quite affectionate and
tiny. However, he grew into a nervous high-strung adult cat. He lived
a long and happy life and was put to sleep on February 19, 2021.
Gizmo
He was born around November 26, 2008 and came to live with us on
February 5, 2009. He is the first cat I have ever gotten on
looks alone and I think he is very handsome. I think he is
the most affectionate cat of any of the cats I have had - well,
except for Timothy. Gizmo had to be returned to the no-kill
shelter because of my allergies.
Contemporaries-Which of these pets lived with us at the same time, and became the best of buddies - or the worst of enemies? This page will show these pets together, and will discuss how they related to each other.
