Lake in the Hills Home Pictures
(Clicking on a picture will display a larger version)

This page will list some of the features of our current house.  This house is almost 4 years old and has around 2700 square feet of living space.  It has 5 bedrooms, 3 full baths, a 3 car garage, and a basement for storage.

Here is an information sheet on the house, showing room sizes and listing some of the features of the house.

Here are some exterior pictures I took of the house when we first bought it:

____

I stood on the front porch and took some pictures of the neighborhood.  What I like about this area is that everything is brand new!

Here I am on the patio taking pictures of the rest of the neighborhood.

As soon as you walk in the front doorway, this is the view looking up the stairs.  The double doors at the top of the stairs lead into the master bedroom.  This area of the house is very open with really high ceilings.  The second picture is of the plant shelf over the foyer as viewed from the living room.

__

The first picture is of the living room as seen from the hallway that leads to the family room.  The second picture is of the hallway that leads to the family room as seen from the living room.  The third picture is of the dining room as seen from the living room.  Many of the windows in this house have transoms above them, which is a small window above the main window.

____

Here are a couple of pictures of the kitchen.  This house has an abundance of windows, making the rooms light and cheerful.
If you look to the left of the refrigerator, the door (which we converted to a real door from a bi-fold door) leads to the pantry.

Here are some pictures of the upgraded Kohler cast iron sink (with a new garbage disposal), upgraded faucet, and brand-new Maytag dishwasher.

The first picture is of the large family room as viewed from the kitchen, the second is of the hallway leading to the living room as viewed from the family room.

Here is an example of a typical bedroom closet.  This is in the fifth bedroom which is on the first floor.  Koleen and I are using this room for our office/den.  There is a full bathroom right next to this first floor bedroom.

Here are some pictures from the top of the stairs.  The first picture looks down on the living room, the second looks down on the dining room.  The third picture here shows the entrance to the master bedroom as seen from the far end of the upstairs hallway.  The last picture in this series is of the far end of the upstairs hallway as viewed from the master bedroom doorway.

______

One of the first things you notice when walking into the master bedroom are the volume ceilings.  The first picture here shows the transom over the window and the plant shelf as viewed from the doorway.  The second picture shows the volume ceiling and plant shelf above the master bedroom doorway as viewed from inside the bedroom.

The first picture here shows the master bedroom as viewed from the doorway.  The second picture shows the doorway which we added between the master bedroom and the bathroom.  On either side of this hallway leading into the bedroom there are large walk-in closets.

__

Here are three pictures of the master bedroom bath.  These show the vanity, the soaker tub, and the shower.  We added ceramic floor tile for the shower entry in the place of carpet.

____

Here is bedroom 2 which is 12 feet by 12 feet.

__

Here is bedroom 3 which is 14 feet by 12 feet with a volume ceiling and a large walk-in closet.

__

Here is bedroom 4 which is 14 feet by 12 feet.  None of the bedrooms in this house are really small.  This one also includes a large walk-in closet.  The last picture in this series shows the upstairs hallway bathroom vanity.

____

Our tour ends in the basement.  The second picture shows the furnace, hot water heater, and water softener..
