Peter and Andre - I don't remember too much about these two. I know that Peter used to like to walk up to Andre and clean the hair on Andre's paws. Andre didn't know quite what to make of this, and I think he would look to us for some guidance as to how to handle the situation. Most of the time, Andre would get up to walk away from Peter and accidentally kick him with one of his paws in the process.
Cheri and Timmy - This was not the best of relationships by any means! By the time we received Timmy, Cheri was pretty much blind. I'll never forget their first meeting - they had both been living in the house for a while and had smelled each other's scents. We placed Timmy in front of Cheri hoping that they would be friends. Timmy hissed, slapped her in the face, and shot straight up into the air, landing on the kitchen counter. Poor Cheri didn't know what was going on, and just stood there wagging her tail (since Timmy was front declawed, she just knew something soft and fuzzy slapped her).
In time, their relationship was better defined - Timmy thought that Cheri was a cat. He used to come and clean her hair while she growled at him. Sometimes he would race through the house, passing within inches from her nose - she would bark and try to snap at him. On one occassion, when Cheri was walking in the kitchen, Timmy was laying on a kitchen chair and reached out with his paw and touched Cheri's head. She thought she had bumped into something, so she backed up (with her tail wagging the whole time) and tried walking into the kichen again - and Timmy bopped her on the head again so she backed up again.
Timmy and Misha - These two were quite a pair! Sometimes they looked like the best of friends, sometimes the worst of enemies. Misha was a little younger, and REALLY gave Timmy a run for his money. I often thought that Misha was what kept Timmy so healthy so long. Misha used to chase Timmy from one end of the house to the other - it was hard to tell if they were playing or trying to kill each other. Talk about entertainment!
Misha and Butterscotch - When we first introduced they had a rocky relationship, but now they are friends and getting closer all the time.
Misha, Butterscotch and Midnight - Misha and Butterscotch had a relationship already. We introduced Midnight so Butterscotch would have someone younger to play with. Misha and Midnight really never formed a relationship before Misha's health declined, but there are some pictures with them together on this page.
Butterscotch, Midnight and Jack - They just met but they are already having a great time playing together. Jack is a very aggressive player so it took a while for Butterscotch to adapt.
Nero, Jack, and
Butterscotch
- Nero is just a little kitten as I type this, but he gives both of the
adult
cats quite a workout - I can't wait to see him when he is grown.
Gizmo,
Nero, Jack, and Butterscotch - Never in my life did I think
I would have FOUR cats in my house.....but here they are!
