Dust Storm Pictures

Here in Arizona we have dust storms.  The first kind is pictured here from when we owned our house in Gilbert.  It's just high winds in a storm which sends dust and in this case construction materials flying everywhere:

HABOOB!  The haboob is a very special dust storm.  It starts when a downburst occurs from a severe thunderstorm cloud.  The high winds hit the desert and send huge clouds of dust flying in all directions.  Eventually the dust cloud covers the entire Pheonix area.  This is a solid wall of dust thousands of feet tall which you can see from miles away.  We stayed outside and took pictures until the last possible minute.  When the last picture was taken, we were already getting dust in our eyes.
