These are pictures of typical neighborhoods in the Gilbert area.
This is to prove that we have flowers, trees, grass, and water in the desert.
It is almost always as sunny and beautiful as it is in these pictures,
regardless of whether it is July or January. I thought maybe in the
summer, everything would dry up and turn brown - not true! These
pictures were taken in the summer when it was 115 degrees.

The below pictures were not taken in Gilbert but in another suburb of
Phoenix called Tempe. This is Tempe Town Lake which is just a few
miles outside of Phoenix right on the Loop 202 expressway. I think
it's interesting to have a huge lake in the middle of the desert.
This is just one example of a large lake in the Phoenix area. While
there are many others, this one is located in the Phoenix metro area.
Tempe uses the bridge over the lake to launch their 4th of July fireworks.
The last picture shows a sign with some details about the lake.
