2020 is almost over – actually it is already 2021 on the east coast.
I had many personal challenges this year. In January I had a problem with my eyes and went to my eye surgeon. He said it was nothing but I mentioned that back in 2018 I lost some of the vision in both eyes. He said the doctors in 2018 gave me the wrong diagnosis and he sent me to the Mayo Clinic for a whole bunch of tests.
I had not one but two doctors tell me I probably had a brain tumor. After spending $6,000 they said they could not find anything. At this point the insurance was paying 100% of my costs so I decided to get surgery on both of my eyes. I thought it was going to be free but I was charged $1000 because the anesthesiologists were not in network. 🙁
Then as a result of the earlier tests I had to go back for a whole new series of tests at Mayo Clinic – and again they found nothing.
Of course in the midst of all this we had COVID-19, riots, murders, economic chaos, and a very interesting election.
I hope next year will be better. Everyone is looking forward to 2021 but I have my concerns. How could it be worse??
